A lightweight API client built into ToolBit

📁

Named Collections

Group related requests together in a collection - by project, client, or environment. Keep things tidy as your API work grows.

💾

Save Any Request

Save the full request - URL, method, headers, and body - so you can re-run it with one click without re-entering anything.

🌐

All HTTP Methods

GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE. Set custom headers and a request body for any method that needs it.

🔄

Built into the Proxy

Collections work alongside the ToolBit API Proxy - bypass CORS and save the request in the same tool, no switching apps.

🖥️

Response Preview

See the response status, headers, and body formatted in the dashboard immediately after sending a request.

☁️

Always Available

Collections are stored in your ToolBit account and accessible from any browser. No app to install, no local files.

How to use API Collections

1

Open the API Proxy tab

Log in to ToolBit and go to the API Proxy tab. Collections are managed from the same panel.

2

Create a collection

Click "New Collection", give it a name (e.g. "Stripe API", "My Backend", "Client Project"), and save it.

3

Add requests to the collection

Fill in a request URL, method, headers, and body, then save it to the collection with a name like "Create User" or "Fetch Orders".

4

Run saved requests in one click

Open any collection, click a saved request to load it, and hit Send. The full response appears immediately in the preview panel.

Frequently asked questions

What plan do I need for API Collections?

API Collections require a Pro or Elite plan. The API Proxy itself (without saving requests) is available on all plans including free, with a 50 request/day limit.

Is this a replacement for Postman?

For quick API testing and repeating common requests, yes - ToolBit covers the basics without installing anything. For advanced workflows like environments, scripting, test suites, or team collaboration at scale, Postman is more fully featured.

Can I share a collection with teammates?

Not yet. Collections are currently private to your account. Team sharing is on the roadmap.

Can I import from Postman or Insomnia?

Not currently. Import support is planned for a future update.

How many collections and requests can I save?

There is no hard limit on the number of collections or saved requests per collection on Pro and Elite plans.

Does saving a request also bypass CORS?

Yes. All requests sent through the API Proxy tab - including saved collection requests - are made server-side by ToolBit, so CORS restrictions do not apply.

Stop re-typing the same API requests

Save requests, organize by project, re-run in one click. Included in Pro ($1/mo).
